And at some point in our lives we've all had to put on our hero capes, to fight for something we truly believed in; something that we knew was going to shape and build our future, change our story, mark the beginning of our Independence.
Remember that time you gained admission into the higher institution and you thought to yourself 'finally I can be my own man' or that time you had to stand up to a wicked and oppressive boss at work or that time you had to be the odd one out because everybody's stance was against your better judgement, what about that hurtful disentangle from a relationship that almost sucked your existence away?. Yeah, those times are worth celebrating.
So rather than reel out the gazillion reasons why Nigeria should not be celebrating its 58th Independence, be grateful that you are able to assert your own independence. Afterall, we make up this country. And if we are not Independent in our spirit, soul and mind, how can the country be?
